OUR HISTORIC FAMILY FARM IN THE DARENTH VALLEY

AUTUMN ON THE FARM

The arable crops (Wheat, Oats, Barley, Beans & grass seed) and Lavender have now been gathered in, and the valley is settling into the colours of late summer. We have one final glorious weekend of sunflowers to enjoy - see here for Sunflower info– before we turn our attention to the Hop Bine harvest. Pick Your Own Apples start on Friday 5th September and marking the start of a new season of flavours on the farm - click through for PYO Info.

The Farm Shop shelves are brimming with lavender treasures, seasonal decorations, thoughtful gifts and delicious farm produce, while the Coffee Cabin is the perfect place to pause for a drink or treat as part of a late summer walk. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are welcome outside the shop, but we kindly ask that they do not come indoors.

Lavender Season 2025

Our Lavender Season is now complete for 2025! The glorious rows were in full bloom from early June to late July - and now the rows are harvested and green. Tickets for 2026 Lavender Season will go on sale in May, and in the meantime you can purchase Lavender Gift Experiences for loved ones, which can be redeemed when the new season rolls in.

Farm Shop Favourites

This year we were very proud to be awarded Small Farm Shop of the Year 2025!

The Farm Shop is open throughout the year Tuesday - Sundays (closed on Mondays). Filled with local farm foods, seasonal produce, decorations and gift ideas.

Unusual cards, small producers, local Kent artisan crafts and of course, a wonderful range of our Lavender products direct from the farm. Visit us and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and changing seasons of our family farm.

Walking from the station?

If you are arriving to the farm via train, you can enjoy a lovely walk from either Eynsford or Shoreham train stations.

Please see our map below that will guide you to the most scenic route, and takes you along the delightful River Darenth - keeping you off the main roads as much as possible!

Dogs on leads are welcome

We love seeing dogs here on Castle Farm, but please keep pooches on a lead at all times and pick up after your dog.

Please note, dogs are not permitted inside the farm shop itself, in our Lavender Picnic Field or on our Lavender Guided Tour events, unless a registered Guide Dog or registered Assistance Dog.

Please note, the only permitted pedestrian access from the A225 will be to a pre-booked limited time event in one of the fields. There is no further pedestrian access through the farm. Please read event information carefully before booking a ticket.
