Each year, we grow a wide range of home-grown varieties, all hand cut and brought to the Farm Shop so you can choose your favourite. Whether it’s for cooking, decorating or carving we have a wide selection to suit.

Each year, we grow a wide range of home-grown varieties, all hand cut and brought to the Farm Shop so you can choose your favourite. Whether it’s for cooking, decorating or carving we have a wide selection to suit.
Our pumpkins and squashes are in season from September through to November (possibly into December for some varieties), so there’s plenty of time to explore.

The Farm Shop is open six days a week throughout the year.

Tuesday – Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday 10am-5pm, closed on Mondays.
BEST FOR COOKING
Crown Prince: Sweet and nutty. Perfect for roasting and soups.
Onion Squash: Rich and chestnutty, The skin softens when roasted, so there's no need to peel.
Gem (Rolet): A small, round squash. Halve, bake and add butter for an easy side.
Harlequin: A pretty speckled squash with sweet flesh, lovely roasted in wedges.
Sweet Lightning: Mini and very sweet. Ideal for stuffing or roasting whole.
Casperita (dual purpose): A striking little white pumpkin that tastes as good as it looks.
BEST FOR CARVING / DECORATION
Mars: A classic, bright orange carving pumpkin.
Rival / Wicked / Gold Medal: Reliable Halloween pumpkins with good shape and sturdy handles.
Gladiator: A large, well rounded pumpkin that's easy to carve.
Big Max: A real showstopper for a big display.
Turk's Turban: Colourful and unusual, made for autumn displays.
Mini Warts: Knobbly little gourds for tables and windowsills.
Gold Speck: Charming mini pumpkins with long, curly stems.

The Farm Shop is open Tuesday - Sunday throughout the year (closed on Mondays), offering farm foods, Lavender products, gifts, decorations and seasonal produce. There is always something new - and you can take in the lovely water meadow views while you enjoy a hot drink from the Coffee Cart.
