Go behind the scenes of Castle Farm and learn all about Lavender!  
 
Join a Castle Farm Guide on a Private Group Tour as they take you into two Lavender fields and our distillery to learn about the history of the farm, the different types of lavender, how it is grown harvested and distilled at Castle Farm.

Walks Field Access

Pre-book your group entry into our famous Lavender Walks Field available for the first time in 2024.
 
Stroll through the fragrant rows at your own pace and enjoy a the scenic views of the valley.
 
A small amount of seating is provided with refreshments available at our 'in-field' stall and well behaved dogs allowed on this popular event.

Group Tour Details
 
  • Pre-booked group tours start at 10.45 (please arrive for 10.30am) and last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. The distance covered is just under 0.5 mile on flat but sometimes uneven ground. Seating and shelter from the elements is available at stopping points in the fields and distillery.

Unfortunately we cannot allow non-service dogs on guided tours.

 

Suitable for all-terrain wheelchairs and buggies. Please note there is a slope into the entrance to the field and the ground can be uneven.

 

Toilet facilities are available on the farm near the farm shop

 

This is an all-weather event, there is cover in the field to provide shelter / shade, but you may need an anorak / umbrella if raining for the walk through the farm to the distillery.

 

Please note, bees will be present in the Lavender, so take extra care.

Minimum of 12 people per group booking. There is no maximum number for Walk group bookings. Please fill in the form below with as many details as possible.

 

Dogs on a lead are very welcome in our Lavender Walks Field

 

We do not allow Picnics in this field however refreshments will be available from our market stall.

Prices & Booking Information

 

TOURS - £14.25 per person (14 people or £200 minimum group booking) and includes some of our own apple juice and lavender shortbread.

  • We would recommend that organisers allow up to two and a half hours in their schedule to fully appreciate a visit without rushing.
  • There is a little bit of walking between the tour start point and coach parking and it may be wise to allow time to browse the rest of the site, including our farm shop and lavender barn.

WALKS - £6.50 per person (14 - 20people per group booking)

  • Wander amongst the fragrant flowers of our 4 acre Folgate Lavender Field, and take a photo on the magnificent Lavender Bench.
  • One hour time slots: 11.00am and 2.20pm Tuesday – Friday
