SUNFLOWER SEASON 2026
We’re excited to welcome you back to our Sunflower Patch for another summer of colour, sunshine and countryside walks at Castle Farm (see dates below).
For centuries this glorious golden bloom has symbolised happiness and positivity - so bring the family and get some lovely summer sunshine photos when they burst into bloom (please note - no professional photography, contact us separately for access on photography@castlefarmkent.co.uk). 🌼 When & Where
The Sunflower Patch will open on the below dates from 10am-4pm:
- Fri 7th, Sat 8th, Sun 9th August
- Fri 14th, Sat 15th, Sun 16th August
- Fri 21st , Sat 22nd , Sun 23rd August
- Fri 28th , Sat 29th , Sun 30th & Bank Holiday Monday 31st August
🎟 Entry Details for the Sunflower Patch
This year you will be able to pre-book your tickets in advance (booking details coming soon!) or you can pay for entry on arrival at the sunflower patch. Please keep an eye on our website or follow us on social media for flowering updates.
Please note - no entry fee required to visit the farm shop, or just to view the sunflowers from the footpaths.
- Ages 0–2: £0
- Ages 3–12: £1.70 (including summer VAT reduction, usually £2)
- Ages 12+ & Adults: £3.40 (including summer VAT reduction, usually £4)
🌻 Pick-Your-Own Sunflowers
Our sunflower patch is designed for picking!
- Price per sunflower stem £1
- A farm team member will be on hand to advise where you will find the best blooms
This is a lovely hands-on summer activity, and sunflowers make a great seasonal gift or table decoration.
🌾 Straw Bale Playground!
Let the kids explore and climb on our giant bales of straw... so much fun!
📸 What to Expect
- A charming vintage tractor will be positioned in the patch for great family photos
- An area planted with sunflowers for strolling, exploring, and taking in the views
- Dogs on leads are welcome, making this a fun outing for the whole family
- Facilities including toilets and our Farm Shop nearby for refreshments and gifts
- A straw bale playground for the kids!

After your sunflower walk, why not stop by the Farm Shop or Lavender Barn? You’ll find seasonal produce, homeware, fresh flowers, and locally made gifts — perfect to round off your visit.
