As the blossom is slowly starting to unfurl on the trees, and the Lavender plants are starting to wake up after a long winter, we are preparing for a busy Spring on Castle Farm.
Our farm shop 'The Hop Shop' will be open again from Tuesday 13th April. We look forward to welcoming visitors back in store - with plenty of Springtime decorations, farm food favourites and beautiful gifts. There will be limited people in the shop at any one time, and please wear a mask and sanitise your hands when you enter to help keep our team, and other visitors safe.
FARM SHOP OPENING TIMES -
Tuesday - Saturday; 9am-5pm and Sundays 10am-5pm.
Our Hop Plants will be starting to grow strongly in the Hop Gardens... bursting out of the soil and climbing the strong coir string to reach the 3m length to the top of the wires. Traditionally they reach the top of the wires on the longest day of the year! If you haven't already - make sure you get your Hop Plants in the soil ASAP so they can establish root growth ahead of summer. We currently have a discount on our Hop Plants online - shop here.
Purchase useful, strong and tough garden string here. This Garden Twineis particularly well suited to growing beans and vegetables due to its rough natural fibres - which plants find it good to cling onto when first starting to grow.
We hope to receive our first delivery of Lavender plants for sale in mid-April. This will be the early flowering Lavandula Stoechas variety. Keep an eye out on social media as to when this beautiful 'butterfly lavender' is available!
Our Castle Farm Beef Boxes, and click and collect have proved very popular through lockdown. You can continue to put your order in online and collect on at the farm if you wish - our team will prepare your order in advance (48 hours notice required).
Although our full range of farm foods and treats is not availble online - once we have the shop doors open again we welcome you back to enjoy our full range of local suppliers and artisan producers.

I grew up on Castle Farm and love sharing the beautiful views and daily life of our busy family farm. You’ll often see me around the place with 4 young children in tow, or a film crew who are out on location!
