Footpaths - take care

February 16, 2021 1 min read

Lets talk about footpaths. We are very lucky to have lovely footpaths which wind through Castle Farm - in particular the Darenth Valley Path between Shoreham and Eynsford. However, given the (understandable) rise in footpath traffic, we are facing some serious problems.

Footpaths are generally 2m wide, but some of the paths that cut through our fields are now over 18m wide! The crop damage in some fields is significant.

PLEASE REMEMBER If you are out walking;
- wear appropriate footwear
- keep to the paths
- follow the countryside code
- respect farm crops
- be prepared to get a bit muddy!
Thank you 🙏🏻
