Guided Lavender Tour Ticket

Location: Cowshed Field, Redmans Lane

Go behind the scenes of Castle Farm and learn all about Lavender! Join a Castle Farm Guide as they take you into two Lavender fields to explain the differences between varieties of Lavender and how they are grown.

You will then take a stroll over to the distillery where you can see how the essential oil is extracted from the plants, and learn about the harvesting process. While enjoying a light refreshment (Lavender Shortbread and apple juice), you will learn all about how Lavender can be used at home. 

Guided Lavender Tours last approx 1 hour and involve a small amount of walking.

Guided Lavender Tour tickets include dedicated car parking. If you arrive by car, you will need to access the farm via Redmans Lane entrance to access our field parking.

  • Suitable for wheelchairs, and buggies, but please note the entrance to the field is on uneven ground. The guided tour covers a distance of approximately 0.5 mile. Seating is provided at stopping points
  • Toilet facilities are available on the farm near the farm shop
  • This is an all-weather event, there is cover in the field to provide shelter / shade, but you may need an anorak / umbrella if raining for the walk through the farm to the distillery. 
  • Please note, bees will be present in the Lavender, so take extra care.
  • Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable, so we suggest you check the weather forecast carefully before you book.

£10.50 per adult, £6.50 per child (5yrs-15yrs), no ticket required for children 4 and under. Each ticket includes a £0.50 booking fee. This is non refundable.

Pre-booking is essential - tickets are released 10 days ahead of the event date on a rolling schedule. So, for example, if you are looking to book for 12th July - bookings for that day will open on 2nd July, 10 days in advance. 

It is likely that Guided Lavender Tours will run until at least Sunday 24th July - possibly later until the end of July, depending on the progress of harvest, and the weather between now and then. 

Your tickets will be emailed to you, on the email provided in your booking, after you complete your transition. You will receive a booking confirmation and a ticket email. On the day of the event, you are welcome to show the ticket on your phone, but if you cannot do this then don't worry our team have access to your booking on the gate. 

Bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable and we regret that we are unable to cancel or refund bookings. Please check forecasts and diaries carefully before making bookings. Our Lavender Field Walk, Guided Tours & Lavender Picnic events are all-weather events. If you have questions about your booking, please email the team on with the details of your original booking.
