When is Lavender Season?

The Lavender at Castle Farm usually begins bloom in mid / late June through until late July when we harvest the flowers for their precious Lavender Essential Oil.Exact flowering dates every year depend on the weather in the lead up to summer.

We love dogs here at Castle Farm and they are very welcome on site on a lead, and at our Lavender Walks Event. Due to the foods we stock, dogs are not permitted inside our main farm shop or at our Lavender Picnic events, Guided Lavender Tours or Workshops, unless a registered Guide Dog or registered Assistance Dog.

What happens if it rains?

All of our experiences are all weather events and will go ahead come rain or shine! In the Lavender Picnic Field we have large marquees which offer cover in the event of rain or shelter if it is sunny. In the Lavender Walks field, we have a large gazebo oat the bottom of the field, but recommend umbrellas if it’s raining (the Lavender can be particularly fragrant in the rain!). On our Guided Lavender Tours, we have covered gazebos in the Lavender Fields for when the guide is talking to the group, however the walk over to the distillery is not under cover.

Do I need a ticket to go into the lavender fields?

Yes, access to the lavender fields is only permitted if you have a ticket for one of our events. This helps us preserve the beauty of the farm and ensure a safe, relaxed environment for all.Of course, if you do not wish to purchase a ticket for an event you can enjoy the beautiful views of the valley from the farm shop or the public footpaths which cross the farm.

Can I amend my booking?

Bookings will open in Spring! All experiences must be booked in advance, on our website.

From mid-June our fields will burst into purple colour across the valley. We run a variety of events set in different fields across the farm. Pre-booking is strongly advised as many weekend events sell out.

2026 TICKETS

Our first drop of tickets and event calendars will be released end of March. Please sign up to our newsletter or follow us on socials to be the first to be notified. A second drop will be made in June once we can see the progress of the lavender. This may include earlier dates.

Customers with a VIP picnic experience voucher will be given access 48 hours before.
